Wendy Haworth and her team design private residences, restaurants, retail stores and corporate offices across the globe offering design consultation, space planning, custom furniture, and branding services from their base in Los Angeles.

Creating custom interiors with a collected feel that reflect the personality/vision of her clients quickly gained Haworth a loyal clientele.  Her strong suit is the ability to intuit and combine her clients needs with a design aesthetic that combines both contemporary and classic influences.  Traveling the globe seeking out furniture and accessories, Haworth assembles collections of unique pieces for her projects.  Before moving to Los Angeles, the Detroit native honed her artistic talents in Manhattan working as a photo editor at both Elle and Vogue magazines.  Haworth then worked with several prominent home furnishings lines where she contributed to the sourcing and development of various lines of linens, furniture and accessories before enrolling at UCLA to study interior design.  She feels grateful to have had the opportunity of working in many different aspects of design and the visual arts, as all have informed her distinct eye and style.

Wendy Haworth Design Studio’’s most recent projects include the Felix Trattoria in Venice, Winsome in Echo Park and Gracias Madre in West Hollywood.

Featured Projects

Felix Trattoria

Felix is like your grandmother’s house – if she was Sofia Loren. Understated Italian references – Gio-Ponti inspired walnut millwork and Fornasetti wallpaper– meld with authentic vintage Italian lighting, pottery, and art. Contemporary elements, like the dining room’s tile and glass pasta lab, and the graphic upholstery and tiling found in the bar, balance the old world vibes. Felix was also awarded 2016 People’s Choice Award Winner by the AIA Los Angeles chapter. See the full project here.

Gratitude Beverly Hills

The upscale sibling of Cafe Gratitude, Gratitude in downtown Beverly Hills was partly inspired by the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. Featuring a color palette comprised of softer pastel tones with moments of black and grey for balance, the design plays up the spaces bow truss ceiling and oversized patio. Light, bright, and classic defines this new Beverly Hills staple. See the full project here.

Winsome

Honoring the architectural history of the 1960’s/70’s William Pereira building, Wendy Haworth Design Studio created a bright, unpretentious, and welcoming space reminiscent of the era. Mid-century influences, an old-school dining counter, and custom-made wallpaper of a 1938 watercolor by Echo Park artist Phil Dike all emphasize Winsome’s neighborhood gathering place feel. Beautiful and unique objects are found at every turn; vintage light fixtures and relics from the client’s travels effortlessly meld with Retna art pieces, flea market finds, and bespoke elements.
