Our style of layered modernism combines a singular, refined aesthetic with luxurious materials and finishes—bringing together the best of design, comfort, and style infused with warmth and ease.

This meticulous, yet sybaritic approach—two adjectives not always linked together—has earned ample recognition. Listed as one of the premier practices by Architectural Digest’s AD100, Interior Design, Elle Décor, New York, and Luxe magazines. The firm has also been featured in Architectural Record, The New York Times, Travel & Leisure, W, Women’s Wear Daily, and the Wall Street Journal, among many others. Honors include awards from the American Institute of Architects, Interior Design and Hospitality Design, in addition to widespread praise for our sustainable approach to the design of the Lucida, New York’s first LEED-certified luxury residential building.

With offices in New York, East Hampton and Los Angeles, the collective knowledge of our talented team transcend the conventional boundaries of design; close interaction with engineers and artisans alike generates innovative methods and exceptional results. Our wide-ranging expertise creates a cohesive vision that begins with intelligent planning, and culminates in a visually dynamic experience, endowing each commission with timeless beauty.

Our scopic vision spans the smallest detail to the grandest gesture: from large developments to our recent foray into product design, which culminated in Interior Design’s Best of Year award, lauding the Crystalline Icicle Swarovski Lighting Collection. The same rigorous approach to design and luxe craftsmanship is the cornerstone of our furniture lines, the Dentro and Classic collections.

Projects have been executed on a global scale for an impressive client base, including Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Coach, and Ralph Lauren. Important style makers such as Michael Kors, Derek Lam, and Frédéric Fekkai have selected Groves & Co. to design their private residences—evidence of the firm’s savvy design acumen.

Current commissions include an ethereal duplex penthouse with staggering views of Manhattan; an expansive Napa estate nestled atop a sprawling mountain ridge; several exclusive, well-crafted residences for Michael Kors, as well as his new executive offices. Commercial projects featuring: a waterfront residential development in lower Manhattan with expansive bay views, an illustrious tower on Riverside Drive and a bespoke urbane complex on Park Avenue.

Napa Estate

Nestled along the crest of a 130-acre mountain ridge in the Napa Valley, sits an elegant, but casual, “camp-chic” estate. The expansive property contrasts layered modernity with a Spartan placidity—intelligently connecting the dwelling’s arrestingly detailed interiors with the lowland’s rugged surroundings.

NYC Residence

An internationally renowned fashion designer turned to Groves & Co. to assist with their sprawling New York City Penthouse, marking the fifth project the client and firm have completed together.

The discerning clients desired a casual formality; “that tug-of-war between practicality and indulgence, comfort and rigor” – a tall task, but one perfectly achieved through the deft use of restrained detail and rich materials, that provide the space with a lush warm feel.

Glover Residence

Set in lovely Sag Harbor, which maintains the bucolic feeling of a New England seafaring community, this new home is nestled in one of the town’s most desired locations: tucked behind the high shrubs of a lazy street in the heart of the village, the house sits upon the banks of the Upper Sag Harbor Cove, with coveted views of water and sky.

Florida Residence

This decidedly bold, yet simultaneously restrained, the home was tailor-made for a jet-setting fashion designer.

Situated on a copious site steps from the ocean, the long, low slung house is set parallel to the water’s edge, taking advantage of the breathtaking panorama and providing spectacular views from every room of the house. Lushly landscaped to provide both privacy and an almost sub-tropic, primitive bent, the setting is both calm and opulent.
