Nicole Hollis is a designer and creative director whose mission is to conceive timeless interiors that elevate the human spirit.

As founder of NICOLEHOLLIS she leads an award-winning collective of more than thirty interior designers, interior architects and furniture designers to orchestrate her holistic approach to the art of living through residential, hospitality and product design.

Nicole’s portfolio of clients includes global leaders and notable innovators who appreciate her ability to create a home that supports and enhances their family’s chosen lifestyle.

Kona Coast Retreat

Set on a lava field poised at the edge of the pacific ocean, this unique, custom-built residence reimagines a Hawaiian sanctuary with an unexpected, integrated and completely modern design scheme. A traditional Hawaiian, open-plan hale scheme, consisting of seven separate pavilions, is transformed into a contemporary mixture of rich texture, tone, and surface.

Larkspur Hilltop

Architecture meets the art of living in this extraordinary, contemporary three-bedroom home comprised of a plinth and pavilion structure nestled into the Northern California nature. An array of sliding glass panels retracts completely into the home’s core, dematerializing the structure into a native-oak-strewn ridge.

Ovid Napa Valley

Taking its name from the epic Roman poet, Ovid celebrates both the artistry and science of viticulture, overlooking the expanses of Napa Valley. Designed by Howard Backen, the architecturally significant structure houses a limited-case production, working winery atop Pritchard Hill. Conforming to the hillside, the winery is built from reclaimed timber, corrugated metal and stone, which create an authentic dialog between architecture and land.

Carmel Valley Ranch

The importance of place defined the interiors program for these twelve new suites at the resort Carmel Valley Ranch. The site, which offers a link to the original ranch property in Carmel Valley, inspired the authentic materials palette. Wood, steel, concrete, reclaimed rope and burlap render a nuanced, textural canvas.

NICOLEHOLLIS Studio

With natural light and bright white walls, the new NICOLEHOLLIS studio functions as a “blank canvas” where designers can clear their minds of daily clutter and devise original concepts for each project. Located in a 5,000 square-foot former industrial space in the SOMA (South of Market) neighborhood in San Francisco, the studio is a creative laboratory where experimentation is encouraged. Collaborators including artists, designers and artisans drop off samples and share ideas and presentations, fostering an uplifting, inspiring atmosphere.
