Selldorf Architects

Selldorf Architects, located at Manhattan’s Union Square, has acquired an international reputation for work that is sensitive to context and program, thoughtful in execution and timeless. Established by Annabelle Selldorf in1988, the firm has worked on public and private projects that range from museums and libraries to recycling facilities.

Clients include major cultural institutions and private foundations, such as the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, in Williamstown, Massachusetts; Neue Galerie New York: Museum for German and Austrian Art, in Manhattan; and the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, affiliated with New York University. In addition, the firm has designed internationally known galleries such as the Hauser & Wirth Galleries in London, New York and Zurich; and the Gladstone, Michael Werner and David Zwirner Galleries in Manhattan. Selldorf Architects has also completed several mixed-use buildings and recently finished work on two new condominium buildings in Chelsea, as well as designing many private residences of high quality and distinction.
