2018 Considered Design Awards Prize Sponsor: Schoolhouse

This year, all category winners will receive a $500 gift card to shop Portland, Oregon, based Schoolhouse, a lighting and lifestyle company known for its modern interpretations of classic designs and its domestic utility wares. The company is dedicated to the preservation of American manufacturing, and most Schoolhouse goods are made in the company’s Portland factory, located inside a century-old brick building.

Winners can shop online at Schoolhouse.com or in-person at stores in Portland and Tribeca (a Pittsburgh store will open later this year), choosing from original Schoolhouse goods to artist collaborations and even re-issues of iconic designs (like the IBM Clock)—all of which Schoolhouse intends to be “the next generation of heirlooms.” Here’s a look at some Schoolhouse favorites.

Winners of each category will be announced on Monday, August 6. Winners will be contacted by email within five business days for delivery of a gift card code from Schoolhouse, which can be applied to orders and shipping from Schoolhouse.com and to in-person purchases made in Schoolhouse stores. Please notes that winners are responsible for any applicable taxes and fees, including import fees and duties, that may be assessed by their regional jurisdictions. See Schoolhouse’s Orders + Shipping page for more information on online purchases, and consult our Rules & FAQ page for full prize details.
