Erica Tanov is a California native and founder of an eponymous line of clothing, textiles, and homewares. Tanov studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked for fashion designer Rebeccas Moses before launching her own line of slips and nightgowns in 1990. She opened her first brick-and-mortar store in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994, and has since opened two more stores—in Marin County and LA. Earlier this year, Tanov published a book called Design by Nature, and she is currently working with Clé on a new line of metal tiles to launch in October.
