Architect Visit: East Village Rooftop Garden by Pulltab A+D

July 10, 2011

For this expansive outdoor rooftop space in the East Village by Pulltab A+D (members of the Remodelista Architect/Designer Directory), the architects were tasked with maximizing the panoramic views while maintaining a sense of privacy, which they achieved via strategically placed walls, canvas screens, and plantings. Photos by Bilyana Dimitrova, courtesy of Pulltab A+D.

Above: The custom-made water feature (which serves as both fountain and bench) is made of a solid rough-sawn white oak block sourced at a Pennsylvania lumber mill.

Above: Canvas screens provide privacy.
