Electric lighting is a practical solution, and an oil lamp is romance. Which would you prefer in the garden?
We’re particularly fond of the golden glow given off by a sturdy Scandi-style metal oil lamp from Garden Home. The egg-shaped lantern is versatile enough to use as a table lamp, a wall sconce, or (our favorite idea) a garden torch:
