In the department of “What CAN’T You Buy on Amazon?”: With the click of a button and for as little as $3,000, you can can order a kit to build a one-room guest cottage in your backyard. (Just please don’t call it a “she shed.” Can we all agree that the term is terrible?)
Amazon has been quietly offering these DIY kits for some years now. Last week, though, the Internet went mad for this modern garden house, by Allwood, sold on the site. The company claims you can build this 172-square-foot cabin, made of Nordic wood, in just 8 hours with only two people. That’s shorter than the the time it takes to assemble certain Lego sets.
Take a look and tell us: Would you buy this? And what would you use it for? Guest house? Home office? Garden shed?
