Garden with Attitude

July 10, 2012

Yes, we confess we tend to veer toward durable work wear aprons, good-looking gardening tools, and willow trugs to tote our gear. But when the sun is shining and the sky is blazing blue, they can seem a little dowdy. To the rescue: Valerie Killen, a Southern Californian skateboard apparel designer.

Killen and her boyfriend recently launched Shelterblack, a line of accessories for the home and garden adding a punch of color and some attitude to the gardening and DIY scene. Not a dowdy product in sight. Want more? See Bohemian Rocker Meets Garden Planter on Remodelista.
