Made of pleated washi paper, an expandable vase slips on like an elegant disguise to cover a nondescript glass or plastic container.
Designed by Hayashi Kougei, the Washi Paper Vase comes in several shapes. No matter which one you choose, “the beauty is in how the paper expands into forms that organically find their resting point in asymmetrical positions,” notes retailer Nalata Nalata.
“This washi paper vase is made in the Gifu region of Japan known for its durable handmade washi paper made of mulberry bark,” notes Nalata Nalata.
