Sneak Peek: Entries in the Gardenista Design Awards Contest

June 15, 2017

There is still time to enter the 2017 Gardenista Considered Design Awards contest. While you work on getting your submission together (note: it’s free and easy), you can Browse All Entries submitted so far.

The deadline to enter is midnight Pacific time on Thursday, June 22. We’re accepting submissions from the US, Canada, and UK in categories for both professional designers and amateur enthusiasts. Head to our Awards Page for more information, including details on the Prize, Rules & FAQ.

And don’t forget: Even gardeners (usually) live indoors, so check out the Remodelista Awards categories to see if you have an indoor space that might be a good fit.

For inspiration, here’s a glimpse at a few projects we’ve received so far:

Above: Blasen Landscape Architecture entered this grand garden in Healdsburg, California in the Best Curb Appeal category, which is also open to everyone. Photograph by Marion Brenner.
Above: Seed Studio Landscape Design entered a San Francisco backyard dining and entertaining space in the Best Hardscape category, which is open to everyone.
Above: Andrew Tatreau built a shaded cabana in the backyard of his Omaha, Nebraska rental house, and submitted it to the Best Outdoor Living Space category (which is open to both professional and amateur designers).
Above: “I like the idea that the shower is a destination in itself,” said gardener Johnny Panessa about the walkway leading to the outdoor shower in his Mastic, New York garden, an entry to the Best Garden (Amateur) contest.

Don’t forget to Enter the Considered Design Awards by June 22. For more, see:
