Larch forests in northern Europe and Siberia produce lumber highly prized for its durability and waterproof qualities. Larch is in fact the wood of choice if you are constructing a hull for your yacht. Or a garden shed.
We particularly admire a tiny freestanding shed that can be customized with add-on wooden modules to create extra storage. Call it a garden closet, as retailer Manufactum does, noting: “Overall, a piece of furniture that can find its place quite on the terrace.”
