Perhaps because nothing rhymes with orange, but everything manages to clash with it, we wax poetic when describing the intense autumnal hue. Recast as coral, apricot, tangerine, persimmon, and fall’s ubiquitous pumpkin, orange becomes a designer color. Still not convinced?
