The most stylish thing you can do this fall is to let your roots show. Especially if you’re a houseplant. Japanese design team Daisuke Tsumanuma and Kenichi Yamada of 1012 Terra have created a cross between a terrarium and a vase:
Above: A Lid Vision Glass Terrarium with a brass lid is available at prices starting at $97 from Nalata Nalata.
Above: A simple design, the glass vessel has a removable metal lid (available in brass or copper) and can do double duty as a vase for flowers.
Above: Fill it halfway with water and add a plant.
Above: The glass terrariums come in three sizes, including Large (3.2 inches tall), Medium (2.8 inches tall), and Small (2.8 inches tall, with a smaller diameter than Medium).
Above: The metal lids are hammered, to reflect light.
Above: The metal lid terrarium comes from the same Japanese design team who put Roots on Display in square glass Hydro vases.
