Description from Essence of the tree
This tree has the most intensely pink spring color of any variegated maple and the longest lasting as well. The name means “Seven Red Apparitions” and I believe they are referring to the shadowy appearance created from the distinct two tone leaf. Summer changes the pink to cream creating the effect of a cool blue-green. A vigorous grower that benefits from pruning to maintain size.
