Description from Canoe
Aji stone, sourced from the Takamatsu region on the island of Shikoku in Japan, displays a remarkable black and white speckled pattern that becomes more pronounced as the stone is polished. Aji is the traditional stone used in Japanese garden lanterns and monuments because it never loses its crisp edges nor its luster, which is why it is alternately known as diamond granite. This sculptural door stop employs three cylinders of cut Aji stone, stacked like a pyramid and bound together by a natural jute rope. The handle makes the door stop easy to move from location to location.
