Snug Cottage is pleased to be able to offer this unique and very attractive gate closer form America’s colonial past.   The cannonball closer is an effective means of ensuring your gate always closes. It requires that an Cannonball with chainadditional post (not included) be installed behind the hinge post.   The Chain is attached between this post and the gate with the 4.5 pound forged solid steel ball suspended on the chain.   Gravity does the rest!

The ball and chain are hot dipped galvanized prior to the application of a high quality black polyester powder coat finish that will endure for years and years.

Cannonball HangingComes complete with 4.5″ diameter forged steel ball, quick link connector, five feet of chain, and two galvanized fence staples. 

Optional mounting kit (to replace galvanized staples) includes a staple on plate, hook on plate and quick link for attaching chain to posts and gate.
