Description from Goop
Though the original Sussex trug was invented in the 1820’s, craftsmanship-wise, not much has changed—each basket is hand-built by skilled craftsmen from sturdy chestnut wood for the rim and handle, and willow wood for the boards. While its intended purpose is to serve as a gardening aid, its functionality is virtually endless: use it as a picnic basket, for fresh produce storage, or as part of a rustic centerpiece.
