Description from Hen & Hammock
Open mesh sacks, for collecting leaves and composting to leaf mould.
Collect the leaves after a shower of rain and pack tightly into the sacks. Leave for a year, undisturbed, and they will rot down sufficiently to be added to the soil or spread as mulch.
Made from natural jute. 100% bio-degradable.
The best leaves for mould are oak, beech or hornbeam. Sycamore, horse chestnut and sweet chestnut leaves can also be used, but they are tougher and take longer to rot down unless shredded first.
Pine needles take a long time but the resulting acidic mould can be used for acid-loving plants.
