The total length of the calibration scale is almost half a metre, and it is mounted on a 1 mm thick body that has been carefully enamelled in several stages. The thin glass tube with its extra-large calibration points extends to a lower diameter of 12 mm at the bottom. We have used the same design for our second outdoor thermometer, which really reaches for the skies! Of course, you can just hang it up as it is – outside your garden shed, if you like. However, we also offer a solid hot-dip galvanized steel stand to go with it, which – for those who have a taste for the dramatic, and provided you sink it into the ground properly – will stick, stake-like, nearly one and a half metres out of the ground.
