Beautiful, lightweight grass and weed sickle, hand forged by Munetoshi with a White Paper Steel blade clad with a layer of soft iron for strength. The blade is Echigo-style, a wider blade that drops the grass at the end of the stroke, rather than dropping it as its cut. So it’s tidier, which is how they like things in Echigo. It’s slightly angled, with a single bevel, so right-handers use it with a forehand stroke, left-handers have to play backhand.
