Orion has a long steam-bent ash shaft, T-handle and curved head. These allow improved leverage and ease of working. The head is made of work hardened bronze. This hardwearing copper alloy keeps its edge better than iron or steel and causes less friction. This allows it to slice into the soil easily without the soil sticking to it so much.
