Description from Lee Valley
A family-owned German firm, Redecker has been making top-quality traditional brushes since 1935. Made by hand from carefully selected materials, primarily using natural fibers, each brush in the line not only does an outstanding job of its intended function, but is built to last for decades.
This is an exceptionally well-made boot brush. Made of natural arenga (the tough leaf fibers of the sugar palm), the bristles retain their texture and firm scouring action through long use. Shorter, stiffer bristles on the base get into the nooks and crannies of treads, while the longer, more flexible bristles on the side give a slightly gentler cleaning along the sides of footwear.
The 3/4″ thick European oak base has the mass needed to stay in place in use – it won’t slide, even with vigorous efforts to remove mud from boots. The wood has been lightly oil-finished for outdoor exposure and easy maintenance, and fastened with exterior-grade steel screws.
20-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ tall. Highly recommended.
