Rustic Garden Obelisk from Eco Friendly Bentwood Twigs

This rustic obelisk is sure to make any climbing plant a happy climber.
It was handmade using local, Canadian speckled alder trees that I gathered along our power and road right-of-ways. Here these little trees grow abundantly and are considered to be “weed” species. In the interest of road safety and keeping our electricity moving smoothly, these trees are, sadly, cut down every 5 years or so. Being able to use this (wasted) resource for bentwood furnishings and other home and garden decor is an amazing blessing from nature!
This piece would make a wonderful focal point in a classic country garden or gracing a more formal city garden. Grouped with some of your favourite potted plants on the patio or even placed within your home, it would add a lovely natural touch to any decor.
