Description from Lambley Nursery
I never grow tired of these good tough salvias. S. ‘Caradonna’ distinguishes itself by holding its rich violet flower spikes on stiff black stems. A fairly new plant it has done very well in our dry garden this year where it flowered early on with creamy lemon Lupinus arboreus and lime green Euphorbia x martinii. We cut all the Salvia x sylvestris group right down to the ground in winter and again in late December after the spring early summer flush of flowers looks tired. Sun 60cm x 50cm.
