Description from Annie's Annuals & Perennials
Product Information
Remember those glorious 3’ tall Cinerarias, so pretty and useful in the shade garden? Sadly, they’ve been replaced by horrid miniature “boinky” versions not suitable for more than a party favor. Growing to a proper 3’ tall, the ‘Giovanna’ strain was selected by Jim Ottobre in Inverness for her cool medley of purples, blues, and purple-blues. An excellent choice for difficult-to-grow-anything-in shade garden and even more fab in rich soil. Jim recommends planting them in front of Rhododendrons, amongst ferns and around roses for a gorgeous display. A perennial along the coast and an annual in our hotter areas, it reseeds easily and makes a good cut flower.
