Description from White Flower Farm
We're delighted to bring you this miniature version of Fragrant Viburnum, a Chinese species introduced in 1910 by Reginald Farrer. 'Nanum' stands just 2-3ft high and deserves a sheltered place by an entry where, as you pass by, you can catch a scent of Wisteria and Cloves from its pink flowers. The blooms of this Viburnum don't mind cold temperatures (a few may open during a warm spell in winter) but they are at their peak in early spring.
With the possible exception of Rhododendron, no genus offers as many attractive and useful shrubs as this one. Viburnums prefer rich, evenly moist, slightly acid soil and generally flower most abundantly in full sun. For more information on Viburnum care, click on Growing Guide.
