This early blooming cold hardy camellia was originated by Dr William L. Ackerman, Ashton, Maryland, USA. First flowered 1984. Very attractive landscaping plant. Chinese synonym 'Dongqu'.

  • Camellia hybrid
  • Maintain 4-6' wide and high or larger
  • Semidouble showing stamens
  • Bright pink, blooms in mass
  • Cold hardy
  • Part sun – part shade
  • Blooms late fall to early winter

  • Upright and outward growth – Moderate (8-10″ per year)
