Description from Kaufmann Mercantile
Triangular camp chair with leather seat and Ash hardwood legs. Folds up to a matchstick profile. Seat attached to the legs by brass rivets, secured at each corner. Made by hand in Portland, Oregon. Comes with matching carry strap.
In the workshop in the backyard of his tiny 103 year old house, a Portland Oregonian makes leather and wood products by hand, using USA sourced hardwoods and leather. Matt refers to himself as a designer, builder and tinkerer, with “lots of projects to share.”
Great for camping, this stool also makes a perfect fireplace stool, or a regular hide-away seat for a small apartment, when you find yourself with one extra guest. Whoever sits on it, and wherever, it’s made to last you for generations.
Turned from USA grown hardwood Ash, the triangular seat is made of English bridle leather, and has doubled attached points sewn in, for extra durability. Every time you fold it up, it adds to the leather’s character and brings out the grain in the fold. Since the handmade process ensures that not every stool will be exactly the same, some details may vary from chair to chair. All stools come with a detachable strap, and thread to match the color of the leather seat.
