DIY: Pumpkin Lights Without the Plastic - Gardenista

Pumpkin lights without the plastic.
All you need for this project are fresh Japanese lantern husks (Physalis alkekengi), string lights, and scissors.
Juliane cuts a small hole (about the size of each light’s circumference) in the end of the fresh lanterns and gently removes the seed.
After the husks are dry, Juliane simply inserts each light into its own husk. If the hole is too large, she will add a bit of glue to secure the husk.
Drape your finished lanterns anywhere.
