Come with us on a tour of the serene Los Angeles backyard of Actor Henry Golding and his wife, Liv Lo. The couple enlisted LA-based OWIU Studio to re-do the small backyard of their 1953 Venice Beach home with the goal of creating a compact but considered space, perfect for their daughter Lyla to grow up in.
The grill area has a two-tone counter of emerald quartzite and concrete. “I love cooking, and we really love hosting our friends for meals, so we wanted an outdoor space we could also entertain in,” Henry said.

On the other side of the concrete wall is a laid-back sitting area and outdoor table.
At the other end of the backyard is an onsen-esque spa, set apart by a stone surround.
In addition to a jacuzzi, the outdoor spa includes a shower for rinse-offs.
The team emphasized intimacy and privacy for the young family.
A wall-mounted wooden bench serves as seating for meals and a place for Lyla to play.
